There is much hope that LENR can be adapted for motorized vehicles. Andrea Rossi himself said the vehicular LENR is 20 years in the future, based on development of his models.
However, much has been done in the development of batteries for electric cars in the last few years. This would aid in the use of the E-Cat in vehicle propulsion. The E-Cat takes a while to achieve operating temperature, and a while to shut down – about an hour for each activity. In a vehicle, this can be prohibitive to use of the vehicle. The advancement of batteries for use in cars may help with the implementation of LENR in cars. The battery could be charged by the E-Cat, which could be left running. The excess energy used to charge batteries could provide power for home electrical use, or fed into the grid through a hookup in the garage. The on-board batteries could also supply extra power needed for passing and driving up hills.

It would appear that the e-cat would work well with the Cyclone auto engine. Http://cyclone power.com
Steam driven cars are very practical and the technology has been available since the early 1900′s. There is no need for expensive batteries and the complicated and inefficient conversion to electricity.

I hope the e-cat start up process shrinks eventually. But until then, I can see the e-cat being used for boats far more than cars. It’s not really a problem to wait an hour for a boat, and the cooling system is right below the boat. Would work on either sea water or fresh water as long as the sea water was only used to cool the steam back down to water.
But I wouldn’t mind seeing the e-cat used for home power generation, and some kind of device that converts distilled water into gasoline. The process exists, I believe, but it takes more energy than you get out of it. However, this is fine if you’re simply using the gasoline as an energy storage device.
Think about it. Low home energy costs, and you can refill your tank right at home.
