Some time ago, Andrea Rossi informed the readers of the Journal of Nuclear Physics that he had observed some direct electricity production with the E-Cat. This is exciting news, and has been questioned a great deal by readers of the journal. However, Mr. Rossi has been understandably reticent in providing further details, considering that all technology must be kept secret. He did tell his readers that everything happening is in keeping with standard physics. This, apparently, clued in some readers on their own experiments. Eernie 1 stated:
“I appreciate all the hints you have given me about the possible solution to how your mechanism operates. The one that I found most helpful is your statement that the explanation does not violate standard physics. This eliminated many possible approaches to a solution.
“Since you have stated that direct production of electrical power is possible implies that some sort of electron movement is required, can you reveal if Beta decay in a Nickel isotope or isomer is nor is not involved?”
Mr. Rossi’s response was:
“Sorry, I cannot give this information.
“As I said, we are making a rigorous validation of our technology and plants. During this period, from which can derive positive or negative results, I cannot give any specific answer.”
Steven Karels also commented on the phenomenon:
“You mentioned some time ago about observing a direct electric generation within the eCat, or something similar. Can you enlighten us as to what you are seeing or observed?”
Again, Mr. Rossi’s reply was:
“Yes, this is a very interesting phenomenon, that we still are studying.
“As you know, our work of R&D is in course and we are submitting our technology to a rigorous process of validation that includes also this effect. The results of our R&D could be positive or negative in any sense, and will be communicated when we will have final results, positive or negative. In the meantime, I cannot give specific answers.”
We continue to hope that the big news that Mr. Rossi promised in the spring will be soon released. Hopefully, it will be something about the production of electricity directly through the use of the E-Cat. This would certainly simplify matters, if the production of electricity were not totally up to an additional device such as a Stirling engine.
