It seems like the skeptics are out again brandishing outrageous and desperate challenges to Andrea Rossi to discredit his invention. In the recent post made by the Rossi in his official blog site, Journal of Nuclear Physics, he cited the recent offer of a millionaire, Dick Smith, to pay one million dollars for a successful Andrea Rossi E-Cat test.
To Dick Smith, who doubts the capability of Andrea Rossi E-Cat, the inventor has this to say:
“Millionaire test: I am the CEO of Leonardo Corporation and recently, Leonardo Corporation became property of a trust of investors to whose attorneys I have to answer. This, combined with the fact that our 1 MW plants have been sold to an entity that wants not to be disclosed (we are under NDA) forbids me to take decisions about this issue without the permissions of the attorneys.
Their opinion is that this stunt is not serious and that our technology does not to be proven by a stunt, but by a regular operation by the customers. We have to work on manufacturing lines to make reliable and economic our products.”
In contrast to Dick Smith’s challenge made out of bad taste, Andrea Rossi’s reply was very civil. Clearly, the skeptics’ camp is running out of strategy to put Andrea Rossi E-Cat and its inventor in bad light. By saying that Leonardo Corporation is now owned by a trust of investors, it is clear that Andrea Rossi does not need Dick Smith’s one million dollars. Leonardo Corporation is now owned by well-chosen investors who apparently have access to unlimited financial resources, enabling Rossi to move forward in mass producing one million Andrea Rossi E-Cats for home use by autumn of this year.
To those who consider themselves Andrea Rossi’s competitors, Rossi has this to say: “We still do not see any competitor on the market.” What more is there to say?

I don’t see any Rossi e-cat on the market. What more is there to say? All skeptics have to do is wait. Time is on their side. As a skeptic myself, I’d love to be able to buy a functioning e-cat, but I’ll not put my hand in my pocket for 1 centimo before Rossi shows us the beef, an independently tested e-cat. So far all I see is song, dance, smoke, mirrors, and endless hot air.
I agree with the waiting point. But that’s not just for skeptics. It’s for everyone interested in the device.
